Marnie Cooper School of Acting Presents:

JON ABRAHAMS DIRECTOR WORKSHOP

December 14th
 2:00 – 5:00 p.m.

Jon Avery Abrahams is an American film and television actor and director. His most notable roles are ‘Bobby’ in Scary Movie, ‘Denny Byrnes’ in the Robert De Niro-Ben Stiller comedy Meet the Parents, and ‘Dalton Chapman’ in the horror movie House of Wax. Abrahams has a practical approach to acting that is based not only in improv, but Method as well – making and keeping it real is most important to him.

In the last five years Abrahams has moved into directing and has made three films. 2018’s All at Once, which won Best Actor, Best Drama, and Best of the Fest at the Buffalo Dreams Film Fest, the soon to be released crime comedy Clover, and the recently wrapped college thriller Exploited. This provides him with an insightful perspective into both an actor’s and director’s experience throughout a production. In his comprehensive workshop, Abrahams will teach our students from both angles.

This workshop will be on Saturday, December 14th from 2-5 pm. It is designed for students 9 and older, and the total cost is $100. It will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
